Description
This gentle yoga-inspired mobility exercise focuses on opening the hips, relaxing the inner thighs, and improving lower-body flexibility. The movement combines a comfortable kneeling position with controlled hip and torso movement, making it suitable for a relaxing mobility routine or a short stretching session.
Move slowly, breathe naturally, and stay within a comfortable range of motion rather than forcing the stretch.
Instructions
- Begin in a comfortable kneeling position on a soft exercise mat or cushioned surface.
- Slowly position your legs into a comfortable wide-knee stance while keeping the movement controlled.
- Place your hands on the mat or another stable surface for support.
- Gently shift your hips and torso while maintaining a relaxed posture.
- Keep your shoulders relaxed and avoid forcing your hips toward the floor.
- Move slowly from side to side or hold a comfortable position for several breaths.
- Breathe steadily throughout the movement.
- Return to a neutral kneeling position slowly and rest before repeating.
- Perform 20–30 seconds of gentle movement, rest, and repeat 2–3 times if comfortable.

Safety Note
This exercise should feel like a gentle stretch, not pain. Do not force your knees, hips, or lower back into a deeper position. Keep your movements slow and controlled, and use additional cushioning under the knees if needed.
Stop if you experience sharp pain, numbness, dizziness, or unusual discomfort. If you have an existing injury or medical condition affecting your hips, knees, back, or pelvis, ask a qualified healthcare professional before trying this movement.
